So I was planning on wearing green shoes but that doesnt’ seem to be working out so instead I’ve decided to wear emerald jewelry. I was planning on getting all my ladies pearl pendants to wear on the day. Do we have to match? Will that look bad if they’re all in pearls and i’m in emerald?
If you think pearls won’t look good with me in emeralds can you suggest somethign different…

Not at all! Everything doesn’t have to be so matchy-matchy (As Stacy London says!)…and of all people, you (the bride!!) are definitely free to stand out.
Rock those emeralds, girl. =)

Wear the emeralds!
My bridesmaids are wearing different dresses and I picking out jewelry for each of them that suites their personality so there will be no matchy-matchy!

I let my maids choose their own jewelry. It didn’t even occur to me that we may or may not match!

Pearls for me, silver intial charms for the girls. Our dresses aren’t the same — why should our jewelry be?

I’m wearing taupe pearls and the girls are wearing silver earring/necklace sets with clear and black precious stones. I agree with MagPie–our jewelry matches our respective dresses, not each others’ jewelry.

Emeralds for you and pearls for the BMs sounds lovely! And look at your unanimous (so far) poll results.

I think its totally up to you. My jewelery is nothing like the BMs but their jewelery is the same style but just with slight differences.

i found this jewelry website that has a million colors. you could get your bridesmaids something really simple in a green that matches, and it won’t cost a fortune!

I think it would be fine to wear emeralds and for you bm’s to wear pearls. you coud also do a combo for them, i bought my jewelry from a site and there is a necklace with a pearl and green crystal. the site also does custom jewelry and can make the colors fit your wedding. the necklace is called bria…check it out…www.melllabeads.com.
