Does the scale lie? It says I gained 3 lbs since the wedding. I’m not sure if I am being “inactive” – I walk about 2 miles to and from my job in a city.
But my rings are spinning like crazy. They did not spin like crazy before.

The scale does not “lie” but it only measures your weight…it doesn’t measure your dress size, your ring size, you muscle mass, etc. Also, 3# could be water retention from a high sodium dinner the night before, or for me, a few beers, or from hormones…who knows. How do your clothes fit?

Your weight is a pretty small piece of the puzzle, and it can fluctuate by a few pounds from one day to the next. How is your nutrition? That’s really the most important part of the big picture.

@amanda06: i eat well for breakfast and lunch, but then dinner is usually takeout because hubby and i are trying to move into our new place and there are boxes everywhere!
but then, if i’m gaining weight, why are my rings spinning like mad? i dont want to get them resized though. I just got them!

It could be that youre retaining water elsewhere but not in your fingers, or that the stress of the move and the takeout is catching up with you. Maybe try ordering salads with protein and picture small servings, saving teh rest for the next day or throwing out the leftovers? Also, the change in diet alone could cause water retention.

I feel like I always fluctuate between a few pounds or so.. I try to weigh myself once a week; but we didn’t get a scale yet.. I knew I had gained 4 lbs since being married but that was 2 weeks ago.. Plus summer is my gain weight month lol I’m up all hours of the night and can’t help but snack!
