I started to use it… had kept up with it for 3 weeks and lost 7 pounds!! Then I threw my back out was in bed for 8 days straight and couldn’t bend for another month and a half at all… It took 5 months to recover fully and I gained a scary amount of weight… now I’m scared to get back on and see my new weight vs my last weigh in… lol but yeah it works… just slowly.

(Oh and I didn’t hurt my back with the wii… putting on my shoe actually! lol just wanted to explain why I stopped losing weight after 3 weeks hahaha)

@peachbaby4008: I got mine on black friday 2010 =) best Christmas present ever because I’m about to start using it again and my son loves it too! It’s a fun workout and I wanted to use it everyday because you could unlock new things the more you used it and it would be ‘upset’ with you if you skipped a day or two LOL. It was also nice to control how much of a workout you would do with the amount of weight you’d like to lose over a certain amount of time.

I liked doing hoola hooping… bike riding, meditation, boxing, mile run and the snowball fights… I tried to do 2 sets of each one everyday except for the mile… I’m not a runner at all lol.

It’s good for getting you into the groove of working out, especially if like me at the beginning of the year, you are a total couch potato.  I used it for a couple of weeks, then got The Biggest Loser for the Wii Fit, and that really worked for me.

I’m not sure.  I used it for a few weeks then got bored.  Hahaha.  Maybe I should try the Biggest Loser for Wii.

I have the Fit Plus and I have lost weight doing it in the past. I pulled it out last night and I definately burned calories, andit is fun. I have the Biggest Loser game and never really got into it. I also have Just Dance 2 and 3 and those are a really good work out and are really fun.

My whole family (including me) used it for the first few weeks but then kind of got bored with it. It was really fun, but it never felt like I was actually pushing my body or doing any sort of work out 🙁 and none of us lost any weight and we played it A LOT haha

I wanted it soooo badly when it first came out. Finally tracked one down ….used it for maybe 1-2 months daily for the yoga. I didn’t get any results =(

It’s fun to play with, but it’s not really that effective as an actual exercise tool. You can use it for some light cardio, and the yoga is pretty cool, but that’s about the extent of it’s usefulness.

It really depends. If someone is very out of shape, I think it’s a great tool to start exercising with. However, if you’re used to doing other gym workouts — elliptical, weights etc, it’s just NOT a challenging workout. It’s fun…and I think it’s better than nothing..but for me, it was impossible to get a good workout on it!

Eh, mine didn’t really do anything for me. It was more of an entertainment thing because I am used to ellipticals, treadmills, bikes etc. It just was not challenging enough for me nor did it give me the proper workout that my body is used to. I also hated stepping on it and hearing it say “oooooo.” Yea, I know I need to lose weight but do you really need to make that sound about it?? 😛

Any physical activity when paired with healthy eating and proper hydration will help your body get into better shape, though if you’re looking to mostly tone up it might be better to get to a gym or buy some weights and look up some lifting/toning exercises to do.

I got mine black friday too and regret buying it. SO much money to get all the games and accessories and the fit board or whatever it is called. I love going to the yoga studio and to actual kickboxing and the gym and such so it was silly of me to get this!

I agree with PP, I found the workouts to be ineffective. I did not feel like I was getting a workout for my hour of playing. I have had better results with Jillian Micheals and its only $10.
