I had a hard time choosing a band too because I wanted something that matched but added some fun and something different. I personally like the combination you have there, I’m a big fan of blingy bands with plain solitaires I think it adds  personality!!

Heres the one I ended up picking:

It’s not my taste with the e-ring, but I think the ring would look gorgeous on its own if you ever chose to weaar it that way!

@Becs:  I think they look GREAT together! I love a unique look for e-ring and wedding band. I had the hardest time choosing too! A word of advice: no matter what others say, make sure that YOU love it!

Here is what I chose and I love it!

I think it is perfectly lovely and if you get it, you will probably get a lot of compliments on your set.

However,  I have always thought that because solitaires are set on solid gold (or platinum) bands, they look best with wedding bands that have more of a mix of diamonds and gold.

For example, something perhaps like this.

    Rather than something like this:

Here is something else I found online:

This one might be a little too modern for your taste, but I have admired these for a while:

And last of all, something like this could possibly work with a solitaire. I’m not sure.
