i have been having the hardest time thinking of something for my “something old”. do you think i could use my promise ring Fiance gave to me three and a half years ago?? i want to tie it into my bouquet some how…
its only 3 and half years “old” but it’s “old” to us since it’s been replaced by my engagement ring. i like that it would be sentimental to the both of us…i just dont know if its “old” enough…
thoughts?? help please 🙂

You get to define “old”. In my book, if it’s not new, it’s old.

I think it’s a great something old! It doesn’t have to be an antique, I always took it to mean that it just had to be pre-existing and not purchased for the wedding. Your dress, shoes, veil, accessories all tend to be new and purchased for the wedding. I’m going to wear the black pearl earrings my fiance gave me the day we got engaged for my something old. I don’t know how I’ll make them work, but I’ll find a way!

Agree with the PP’s, you get to define how old your “something old” is. This ring has been with you throughout your relationship and I think it would be very touching to include it in your bouquet.

@futuremrsbc: If you want it to be your something old, then it’s your something old! There aren’t really any rules on this one!! 🙂

I agree with pp’s its a great something old. I wore earrings my hubby gave me in a pretty blue in my second ear holes even though they didn’t match 100% to the other colors if you love it do it.
