I don’t think it really looks cheap. I would probably try to change the sash up and make it a more defined sweetheart though.

I don’t think it looks cheap. I think the lace is very pretty and I like how it is longer than the white underneath for the train. How you feel in it is the main factor. If you love it and feel like a million bucks, then go for it! No matter what the dress looks like, your joy will outshine all of that.

I didn’t think it looks cheap… Just looks like a bridal gown.

Was there a gown you liked better?

may I Suggest adding a jewelled belt to the dress.   I don’t think the dress looks cheap at all.  Also you’re missing some of the key elements of the stress like the veil in your jewellery once you get all dressed up it changes the look of the dress .

I think it looks very pretty and not cheap.  I agree with PP on maybe changing up the belt to something more delicate/romantic though.

moz89 :  i’m not sure what you mean by “the lace doesn’t flow naturally”? it doesn’t look cheap, but it also doesn’t look designer. i’d say it strikes me as a very average looking gown – if you were in the US i’d guess it’s a David’s Bridal dress. i think the silhouette looks lovely on you. the only part i dont really care for is the hem – the lace is just cut and hemmed. many bridal gowns have a beautiful scalloped lace hem that really finishes the gown – i’d say the hem makes it look unfinished. but this could be rectified by buying some lace and having your seamstress attach it.

It doesn’t look cheap at all, in my opinion. My dress has a lace overlay that extends past the underskirt too. I agree with PPs about the belt and neckline, but it looks great on you. I’m jealous of your arms! Cap sleeves and I don’t mix.

It has a bit of a vintage vibe that I think would flow better without a belt.  I don’t know if a vintage vibe is what you’re looking for, but the lacy overlay gives that off.  Personally, I like it!  But then, I see a lot of high-end designer gowns that I think look like underwear, so I’m apparently a terrible judge.

The lace at the top that covers your bare skin looks slightly cheap, but I can’t tell about the back. Otherwise, I think it looks great!!
