It doesn’t look bad, but were you standing up straight? I am a fellow strapless dress bride and have had it fit very tightly so it won’t fall down and if I’m not standing straight I think it’s a little unflattering. If you’re wearing a bolero/veil no one will see that part of you anyway!

i don’t see anything wrong with the back… what in particular are you worried about?

The dress is gorgeus and you look beautiful in it too.  I see what you mean but I don’t think it is as horrible as you may seem.  Esp if you are going to wear a bolero during the reception.  At the ceremony, you’ll have your veil that will cover most of your back wont you?

I don’t think so.  I’m not even sure what you don’t like about it.

Nope. You’re being harsh critic of yourself.

I agree that the dress fits beautifully around your hips, and I also agree that the back needs to be altered so that you aren’t so squished.

You could get her to lower the sides so that back of the dress is resting under your shoulder blade, not on or above them – I think that would fix your problem.

Bridal consultants pull those dresses sooo dang tight! I remember once I tried on this gorgeous dress but I literally could not expand my chest to breathe, I stood in front of the mirror and said “omg get this off me, I am suffocating”!!!

Perhaps you’d be happier if the corst was tied looser? I think the back of the gown is stunning—but if you’re uncomfortable, I think you have options since the wedding is in April.

I do not think it looks bad because, to be honest, if I was at your wedding, I would be focusing on how beautiful you look! However, as a fellow bride who worries about how my back looks, I can totally empathize, and I would also be freaking out that I look squished in my dress. (It looks a big tight.)  The only reason I am commenting is because I think that if you feel uncomfortable about it, you won’t feel beautiful and sexy like you should on your wedding day.  So, my 2 cents is to target the area if you think that will help at all, loosen the corset up a bit and/or wear your veil/corset.  Again, I want to repeat–YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!  I am only suggesting these things so that you feel good on your day as I have similar issues right now and understand how it feels.

I was going to say EXACTLY what BriarRose suggested.

I wouldn’t have even noticed if you hadn’t said anything.  You look great.  If it bothers you, talk to your seamstress.  They might be able to do something.

It looks like your corset may have been tied too tightly. Other than that I don’t see anything you should feel badly about. = )

I agree, it may have just been how tightly your corset was tied!  Seriously though, it’s not at all noticeable.  You look beautiful!  Maybe just experiment with corset tightness to see if you can get it to a point where you’re happy with how your back looks, but if not, I wouldn’t fret! It looks just fine, and you’re absolutely gorgeous in that dress.

i think that your look beautiful and you just need to make it looser on the back.. ๐Ÿ™‚
