Honestly, it depends on where the seams are. I hope that you can get your dress let out because I am sure that will take a lot of stress off of you!

Sorry to hear that! What is the “weight gain” from? If it’s water retention or swelling (steroids) then it’s probably unavoidable but other meds that can cause weight gain might not always. Just because it is a side effect doesn’t mean that it wil happen to everyone. Hopefully you can stay active and eat healthy in the next few months and avoid the let out!

Most bridal gowns have excess material in the seams and can be let out.  If DB can’t tell you over the phone take it to a seamstress and they should be able to look at it and tell you how much room there is for letting it out.


In the event it doesn’t have enough room to let out, we have other tricks for making the dress larger.  So don’t worry too much you have options.
