Have you shown him photos of rings you actually like? You need to be happy with the ring especially since you ‘ll be wearing it everyday 🙂

Upon first sight I don’t know that I’d think of it as an engagement ring. But if someone was wearing it on their left ring finger I’d probably assume it was.
What matters is that you and your SO love it. Have you showed him ring styles you like within his budget?

Truly it is a smaller ring, but if it was part of a set on your ring finger I would know it’s an engagement ring.

It’s pretty, but people could easily think it is a promise ring, being both small and in a whimsicle style

If you like it for a E ring then thats all that matters. I wouldnt think it was if I saw it but I do agree that if I saw it with a set then I would think so as well. either way tho it is pretty! 🙂

If it was worn on your left ring finger and I knew you were engaged in real life, it might look like an engagement ring, but culturally speaking (from a Western/North American culture) No, it does not look like the vast majority of engagement rings.

Honestly, if I saw it on someones left hand I would assume it was a promise ring unless part of a set/stacked style.

Since you appear to be in Norway, I am not sure what the culatural standard is. My European friends generally think my American engagement ring is rediculous, so maybe you could give us some context as to what is normal in Norway? I think that is a pretty ring but agree that it looks like a promise ring to an American.

I think it’s gorgeous- I personally would prefer something less understated for an engagement ring. It’s your ring though. If you love it go for it!

@Missmillyme: It doesn’t really look like a “typical” engagement ring because it’s so tiny. But if I did see a girl wearing it on her left ring finger, I would definitely assume it was an e-ring.

@Missmillyme: Do you think it looks like an engagement ring? Do you think that you could wear it for the rest of your life? Or would yo just wear your wedding band and put that ring in a jeweler box effectively making it a waste of money?
You said that your SO loved it, but do you love it? Does SO know what you love?
