i think EVERYONE notices the bride always – i love that dress – seriously – i think its beautiful but i can see why people from the other post think it could outshine- its a seriously beautiful dress and if it came in white and i could get married again i would ask you where you found it! haha – but the reality everyone is going to be looking at you on your wedding day not the BM’s but they will admire YOUR beautiful choice for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses!

I don’t think anyone can outshine the bride! But you should just ask your bridesmaids if they like the dress. I gave my bridesmaids a few options to pick from and they all ended up liking the same one dress, but with different necklines, so that’s what we did. I think most girls would prefer a short dress to a long one, because its usually cheaper and you’re more likely to wear it again, but it really depends on the formality of the wedding.

@mpc87: It’s a beautiful dress, and I wouldn’t worry about outshining the bride. It will look beautiful in pictures.
I often wonder about these people who are afraid of their bridesmaids dresses outshining the bride in her wedding gown (NOT saying you, just this idea). How do they pick out bridesmaids dresses…hmm, I want it to be pretty, stylish and elegant but not THAT pretty, stylish and elegant? It just seems so counterproductive.

@mpc87: oh god…those dresses are AMAZING!!!
I was in a wedding wear we (the BM’s) wore similar dresses but they wre knee length and we did not outshine the bride. I think what is distracting people to think that is that the bride is much tinier then the bm…so in the picture….i would say the Bridesmaid or Best Man are def. what you see first.
Try other pictures and similar dresses and see if you get the same effect?!
