We were never planning on having a lot of florist delivered flowers, but the more we got into planning the DYI aspects of our distination wedding, it seemed like a better choice.
We were quoted 85 dollars a centerpiece for these flowers:
Centerpieces on 60″ round guest tables are silver ornate compotes filled with Peach stock, Dahlias, Open Garden Roses, Coral coffee berry, and dusty miller
This is the a picture of the “compote”
Is this price comperable to other quotes you’ve seen?

@JenniferMm: It might be expensive to rent the containers, did your florist give you a price breakdown? I’m doing my own flowers, but when I was shopping I was quoted about $40 plus $20 for the rental for something similar.

I agree with the otposterity – the bulk of the cost is probably coming from the vases… Source your own vases and get a quote for JUST the flowers. None of the flowers in that arrangement are terribly exotic so it should be pretty reasonable. My guess is $50 or so for flowers alone.

I agree, when I say, “Yes,” it’s because of the rental of the compote.

i think if its a Destination Wedding realistically you dont want to buy your own vases, schlep them there and then wonder what to do with them after the wedding. esp if you need to fly where youre going
i think thats an ok price, and trying to find your own wouldnt be worth the hassle
