This is my first post on this site, discovered it 30 minutes ago and having a good time reading your posts and looking at the pictures of your rings!
May I, please, ask your opinion, whether this stone (princess cut, 1 ct) looks too small on my big hand? I’m size 6 – 6.5 (bigger than most of you).
Haven’t bought it yet, will consider other options and would welcome your input. Apologies for lack of manicure

It looks great, 1 ct is a big stone. 🙂

I think the ring is beautiful and don’t think the stone is too small. Great pick!
(my ring is a size 7 :/)

I think 1 ct is a great size on any finger! It definitely looks awesome on your finger! I wear an 8 and mine is a 1 ct solitaire as well.

I honestly think it looks perfect. If you’re happy with it, then don’t worry.

There is nothing wrong with our sizes =) luckily, they don’t charge more for settings and bands, even if they might be heavier, with more metal used)

It looks perfectly suited to your finger.

It’s all about personal taste. Take your time with the purchase and go with your gut. If you think it’s too small and can afford to go bigger, then do it. Diamond shrinkage is a real thing that affects a lot of women 🙂

I think it looks great! Are you planning on adding a wedding band? That can be an area to add some more bling if that is what you want.
Here is my 1.1 on a 6.5. The wedding band adds a lot! At first I wanted a bigger stone but now I realize this size is perfect. How long have you had it? I found my ring grew on me.

I think it looks just fine. It will look even more impressive when you put a band with it!

This is the size that I feel the most comfortable with. This would my first diamond ever, so I’m not used to wear smth sparkly)
However, my friends say I should go for a bigger stone, as the engagement is supposed to be just once in your life. Of course, cause they aren’t paying for that)))

This is exactly what I want – a solitaire with a simple setting and a pave wedding ring.

@Illusionist: very true but they over charge for those things in the first place. 😉
I can honestly say having worn my ring for almost 2 years now… I don’t regret the style or size at all! 1 ct is very classy and depending on where you live… HUGE! You stop looking at it so much after you wear it for a while and a week after we got married it’s just a part of me now, I only notice it when someone wants to see it or comments on it.

@VAwife: DSS – is what I discovered here, in bees’ discussions))) Never heard of it before, but got doubts after reading you, girls)
I mean, I realize bigger stone is better, but can’t imagine myself goint to work or to subway with it.
