My dress came in. Yay! But I haven’t gotten my veil yet. Something just keeps me from buying one. I’ve tried on several. I thought I was going to go for a plain, raw-edged cathedral veil and then I would be wearing some sort of comb. But, I just don’t know why I haven’t bought it. Then today, I remembered this veil and how much I loved it.
The first pic is a veil I tried on months ago that I loved the moment I put it on. I have no idea if it will go with my dress. The second pic is my dress. The 3rd pic is my possible sash, or one like the one I will get.
Dress is ivory, everything else will be as well.
What do you think? I normally have a really good eye for such things but for some reason I’m blank.
I’m worried it will be too much.

I think you won’t know until you try it on together. I tried my dress on for the first time this weekend, and picked out my sash and veil. Neither was anything like what I thought I wanted. I really had to see it to know.

@angelalsmith3: I have tried on a sample size of my dress with a sash that is sparkly and has the same shape as my photo. The issue was in the salon…they didn’t have a single veil I loved. Nothing. They kept trying to suggest one that I really didn’t like. Then they suggested I use lace from my dress but that didn’t feel right either.
It wasn’t until a few months after I ordered my dress that I thought about a plain cathedral veil. I tried on plenty of those and I really liked them. But I can’t forget this one.
My dress salon is not David’s Bridal. I am apprehensive to take my dress from the salon to DB to just test this out. 🙁

I don’t think the veil is crazy over-the-top detailed – it actually looks like a shorter version of the one in your dress picture, just with 2 tiers. I think it will look beautiful together, but the other bees are right – you never really know unless you put it all on together! Looks great to me 🙂

@MrsTwister: It would require me to remove my dress from the salon and schlep it to DB to try on with the veil and that makes me nervous. Thanks so much for your insight and opinion on that it appears like a shorter version of the one in the photo. =)
@ceebree: Thanks!!
@Mars62312: Thank you!
