(Closed) Does your body really lose weight in the last place you gained, first?

Everyone is different so I’m going to say this is a myth.  Personally, I always notice that I lose from my face first, arms next, legs and then stomach (which is where I carry all of my weight).  And when I’ve gain I’ve always thought it went stomach first then face.

@Mrs.Mittens:  I carry my weight in my tummy too. I usually notice weight loss (or gain) in my face first

Definitely different for everyone. Me? I lose my boobs first no matter what. 🙁 I hate it because it makes me so temporary unproportional – I feel like everything else looks bigger and out of whack!

That’s how it was for me.  I gain in my stomach and thighs first, and that’s the place I’m wishing it would go away from now!  Obviously I’ve lost some, but the most dramatic loss has definitely been elsewhere.

I don’t think that is how it works, but it is all very invidual and depends on your make up.  I always lose weight first in my face, and my arms will get in shape way faster than my legs ever will. My college roomie dropped maybe 30 lbs but it looks like it all came out of her boobs and legs. My sister had gotten overweight then when she lost all the weight she had gained it seemed to come off proportionally over her whole body (lucky girl!).  Another friend lost 40 lbs on weight watchers but her face looks the same, her tummy just appeared to fall off.

My guess is you lose from all over but it is more or less noticeable in different areas based on what you started with, where your muscles are more or less developed, etc

That sounds like a total myth.  Like poeple who chew gum will have slim faces.

Ugh. I wish. I gain in my tummy first, but lose there next to last (boobs are last to go, no complaint there).

Myth. I lose weight in my legs first, then stomach, then face. I tend to gain weight in my stomach. Blah.

Total myth!!!!  I always gain first in the stomach and back (yep…..sexy back fat), and lose it first in the face and boobs.  I’m okay with the face, but come on…. if I have to have belly and back fat I should at least get big boobs out of the deal!

Myth. I gain weight in my thighs/butt but lose it from my arms, chest, and stomach first. Very annoying.

Myth. That’d be awesome tho. I wouldn’t have such a bubble butt if that were the case!

I usually gain those eatra 5 lbs in my stomach & that does always come off first, but then after that I have no idea.

I always loose my boobs and then my hips, it’s so annoying. I gain all my weight in my thighs so I think this is a myth.
