No, but then he doesn’t even care if we have sheets on the bed.  :-/

Yes!  It honestly took us a couple hours of shopping together to find one that we both liked.  He thought most were too girly or ugly.  However, I am very happy that he likes what we have, I don’t blame him for being picky, especially about sleeping in a “girly bed”

He cares and I don’t, so I let him choose what he wants.

No, I buy pretty much whatever I want and decorate however I want.  We had an argument over the last couch we bought because all he wanted were the reclining couches.  I gave in and we got the best looking one.  That will later go to the basement and I will buy my nice couch.

Bedding, I just bought a new duvet cover and he said “it’s ok.” haha.  However I’m not really a girly decorator and overly feminine decor is not my style.  So we really don’t run into any problems.

FWIW I just bought this white one from West Elm.  Also thought about the green.

My shower curtain is pretty girly actually but it’s bright and I like it.  I don’t think he cares.  It’s the girliest thing there and it’s white with bright pink, green, and blue floral motif.

Yup! This was what took the longest to decide to put on our registry. We had to find something neutral, thank goodness for Macy’s Hotel Collection!

However, he now gets angry that we bought decorative pillows that we don’t even get to sleep on…but that’s another story!

Mine is like yours; he only cares when he doesn’t like it, lol.  If he likes it, he likes it, he doesn’t usually have a preference between 2 or 3 things he likes (this goes with all home decor things), but if he doesn’t like it, he can’t tell me why.

Yes, it drives me crazy. My solution has been to look at things online or in catalogs with him before I go shopping.  That’s at least served to rule out things he can’t stand.

He grumbles, but if he doesn’t want to go along to pick out bed sets or give input, then I guess he’ll just deal with whatever I get! We really only have two sets of sheets that would be considered “girly” – a polka dot set and a pink/orange striped set.

Not at all…at least I don’t think.  We have always had a zebra print duvet and we registered for a new zebra duvet since our old one was getting ratty (like my feet would get caught in the holes).  He found the one we had registered at Target on clearance and jumped on it and bought it off the registry lol.  He even knows I prefer the stripes to go a certain direction and he always makes sure they’re going that direction.  So either he loves zebra as much as me or he just loves me and doesn’t care lol.

He says he does but sometimes I think he is just trying to make things difficult.

When we first moved in together I compromised on what I wanted and go a comforter that he seemed to like. In the end we both hated it. This time around I went with modern and elegant and avoided flowers/over the top girly but didn’t ask him his opinion and we are both happy with the outcome.

@starlight1222:  Our first ridiculous tiff as an engaged couple wasn’t over bedding… we both immediately were drawn to the same bedding set but it was over freaking bathroom rugs! We couldnt agree on a color, a type, anything. He wanted to wrap the whole toilet in carpet practically! haha

I just asked Fiance, we have fresh bedding on now – like a beige colour. He says he doesn’t like it as much as the brown tones we had previously (I go dark for winter and white for summer, always have). Then I asked him if he cares what it looked like in general and he said: well, as long as it’s clean with no my little ponies on it.

    Pffft. LOL.

@vorpalette:  This… I had all purple and girly bedding when we met and now I’ve come to terms with the fact that we will likely have blues or greens in our bedding for the rest of our lives, which I can live with (our bathroom has a purple rug so small victories…lol)
