I get the occasional comment on it when I’m out. No one has ever grabbed my hand to look at it though, thankfully! That would super freak me out. As long as someone isn’t grabbing at me, I love it when someone comments on my ring.

Now I want to see your ring lol
I’ve had people grab my hand a couple of times. We were waiting to be seated at a restaurant once and a lady came up to me, took my hand up and said to her (I’m assuming) boyfriend “this is exactly what I want!” She then apologized for being so forward.
I have a cushion in a cushion halo and I get asked quite a bit if my center diamond is a princess cut. Apparently a lot of people around me haven’t seen cushions in person because they usually say how sparkly and unique it is.

diamondfrost412 : yeah surprisingly I do get at least one comment a week from randoms. It surprises me because its a halo cluster and not a huge one at that. The bee seems to hate clusters so I thought it would carry on into the real world. Turns out people don’t hate clusters because my ring gets lots of compliments. I think it throws off lots sparkle so it catches peoples eye…

msmdp2017 : ohhh I don’t think I’ve seen your ring before!! Is that a pink moissy??? It’s lovely!
Nope, because I never wear it (and also maybe because it is quite “small” and unnoticeable).

Nope. Never ever happened. People don’t say anything back to me about my ring even after I said nice things about their rings. I guess my ring is not attractive at all….. Do people really pay attention to you guys rings? Ahh… now I wanna change my ring…

j9marie : Never happened to me either…

I’ve gotten a few compliments – wish I had more! I find it flattering. I’ve complimented other women on their rings occasionally, but most women seem uncomfortable when I do so, so I’ve stopped. I’ve never understood why it makes people uncomfortable! In your case, OP, grabbing your hand is totally uncalled for and I understand not liking that. But receiving a compliment on a nice piece of jewelery doesn’t seem like a bad thing to me 🙂

I do almost daily. I think having a colored stone really makes a difference. I always enjoy it, I feel like jewelry is worn to be noticed and I’m all about spreading the sapphire love.

Yes, when I first got engaged in 2016 I was working in retail and the store lights really made my ring shine. Also, I have extremely small hands/fingers so my solitare diamond is much more noticeable. Also, I think customers were also surprised how big my diamond was for someone working in retail because I always got the reaction “oh my goodness, your ring is so beautiful and BIG, what does your fiancé do?!” Which I found that the worst part….
Now I work in a marketing department of a hospital and no one really notices.

diamondfrost412 : funny thing is….I’m so that girl. I love jewelry. I hope I’m polite when I ask to see a ring closer. Bc it’s just a complement I however would not touch the stone or ask to try it on, even if I know the person. But today a coworker noticed my new ring (I upgraded due to a stone falling out). She touched my stone and then asked me to take it off. That’s what makes me uncomfortable.

cmsgirl : speaking for myself here, but I don’t understand the attitude some bees have for clusters either. My boss has a cluster and it is stunning! I can’t help staring at it, it’s so sparkly.

I do get compliments randomly sometimes but no it doesn’t make me uncomfortable. I just say “thanks!”
