I wish I had a theme.  Our e-shoot is tomorrow and I’m still trying to figure out our outfits.  I say go for the theme!

@Miss Tattoo: Yes, you do not need a theme to wear your dress 🙂  I say your theme can be ‘Yay, we’re engaged!’…

…especially since this is how you dress in real life, not just for this special occasion photo shoot.

I would think you would rather have pictures of the two of you looking your best but still looking like you.  I honestly don’t really understand the point of epics, but I assume it is so you have professional photos at an exciting time in your life and that they may be used as elements of your wedding.  If you are going to spend money to have professional pictures that will last forever, I would want to look like myself at my best and not like a character.

Wear what you want! Be who you are! We didn’t have a theme other than “hey, this is us where we love to be” and our photos were pretty darn great if I do say so myself 😉

@Miss Tattoo: Of course you dont need  theme.  Do whatever it is that makes you happy.  I will say, the our own personal style is throw back it seems, so regardless of whether your trying to or not, have a theme, to some that dont know you and how you typically dress, it may appear as if you have a theme.  But so what!

By The Way I grew up in Pittsburgh.  What locations are you thinking of shooting at??

WE are not planning a theme at all. Still trying to figure out outfits, but that is the hyper critical girl in me trying to figure out what will look best. I just want us to have a few diff outfits. One a bit dressy, one casusal, and then we are doing one w/him in Detroit shirt and me in Chicago since that is where we are both from.

BUt I love seeing everyone EPICS. So many beautiful bess out there w/unique styles.

We’re just going as ourselves. No theme. I think it’s fine.

Just do what you like! I think themed shoots can be cool, just because they’re different, but ultimately what’s important is that it reflects you.

If we do an engagement shoot (still not 100% decided on that), I think I’d like us to be doing something, like cooking, or painting, or whatever. I think it’ll look less awkward and staged if we’re somewhat focused on something else.
