He didn’t but he totally would have if we had found one.

My Fiance wears a ring that we call an engagement ring. I don’t know how wide it is though. The best way to see how different widths look on your FI’s hand is to have him try some on at a jewelry store.

I voted no because he didn’t.  BUT I will tell you that I found out after the fact (BAD hubby!) that it’s custom in Dutch culture for the man to also wear an engagement ring.  Apparently at the engagement party that we had in the Netherlands, all his family and friends were wondering where HIS ring was.  *facepalm*  lol  I love the idea btw.

As for width, that depends completely on your Fiance and how big his hands/fingers are!  My hubby has big hands and chose to go with a ring that was 7mm wide.

No, but mostly because it would be a work place hazard for him. Also he is somewhat forgetful (and would likely forget to put it on when he came home or lose it somewhere), and we haven’t found anything he particularly likes.

We’ve been looking at 8mm bands, but I think it depends on the size of your partners hands as to what will look goodsuit them.

@dreamingofbling: I remember my Fiance being like “ok, sooo now do I get a ring??” and I thought that was pretty cute. However, since we’ve gone wedding band shopping for him, he’s decided that they ‘feel weird’ (mostly since he’s not used to wearing one). I know he liked the 8mm size for his band. Also, he for sure wants to get white gold or platinum because if anything were to happen to his hands at work he wants to be sure that the hospital could cut his ring off for him (I guess some of the newer man-made styles cannot be cut off at the hospital).

I have a friend whose Fiance is from Chile, so she has him wearing an engagement ring, which is customary where she’s from.

You could pretend that you are taking him to look at wedding rings; just to get an idea ๐Ÿ™‚

My vote is “Other” if that were a choice.  My Fiance and I exchanged promise rings and he still wears it.  It’s a tungsten carbide ring and it’s fairly large in width, I want to say it’s between 5-7 mm (a bit too large).

Mine wears one and he loves it.  I got him a simple one from Tiffany; it’s a solid color and more like a rounded square around the outside than a real circle (as most rings are including mine), although the inside is obviously a circle so it fits around a finger!  I think it’s about 1/3″ wide but I’m not sure how many mm that is…I’m just estimating from memory since he’s off at work now.

Mine does not wear one. As for width, I feel like 5-6mm is pretty much the classic width for a men’s band.

He didn’t, but I would have thought it was so cool if he did!

My husband’s wedding band is 6mm. That is pretty thick. If your man wants a smaller ring, 4mm or 5 mm might be the way to go.

My Fiance wanted an engagement ring (he knew that I was going to propose to him), so I bought him this tungsten carbide one.  After he had an allergic reaction to that, we returned it and replaced it with a titanium one.
