Yes he does – he designed it and surprised me with it so I had no input. I really do love it.

He loves it! He often takes my hand just to admire it lol.

First of all, I love art deco style rings, so I love the ones you picked out!

To answer your question, my FH is obsessed with my e-ring.  He thinks it’s perfect, as do I. ๐Ÿ™‚  But I know that he would get me whatever style ring I wanted even if he didn’t love it.

Mine would never say that he didn’t like a ring that I picked out but the fact that he wouldn’t say anything, basically told me that he didn’t like it. After several months of really not agreeing on anything in store or me just not loving anything, we decided to design one together. He was more vocal during the design process but in our 4th or 5th meeting with the jeweler, he would kinda drift off and just nod every 20 minutes. It’s just not a guy thing. He wants me to have a ring that I love, it doesn’t matter to him that he doesn’t. But it did matter to me that he at least like it. Not because he’s paying for it but just because the ring represents us making a commitment together so I just want him to like it too.

I did not pick out a ring, he did. So I would hope that he likes it.

My fiance loves my ring – he put a lot of time into it.  I love it too ๐Ÿ™‚

But when we were talking about rings before we got engaged and I was considering halos, he never seemed enthused.  After I got my actual ring and completely loved it, he told me why: “They look like championship rings.”  Oh, men.

My husband loves my ring…but he’s the one who designed it, so I guess that’s a given!  I love it too!  I think it is important that you both like the ring…but that’s just me!  FWIW, the ones you were looking at are very pretty!

My husband is a bit indifferent… He loves that I love it, but he’s such a “guys guy” that he just doesn’t “get” jewelry.  He asked what kind of rings I liked, I sent him a few links to rings and he ended up buying one of those exact rings…  He knows he did a good job though because everyone always says how pretty my ring is. ๐Ÿ™‚  He is so much of a guy that I had to pick out his wedding ring because all he cared about was if it was comfortable.

Maybe try to find something that you both like?

When we went to the jewelry store to look at rings, Fiance was the one who picked up the ring and said, “Hey, this is pretty, try it on.” I actually didn’t even like it! But I put it on anyway to humor him and suddenly it was love at first sight, haha. So, yes, he picked it out because he liked it. And I love it!

I think he should consider himself lucky that you are taking the guesswork out of it for him.  choosing an engagement ring that the other will like is a lot of pressure.  I don’t think he should get to have input on how the ring looks as long as he is ok with the price, you are the one who  is wearing it– presumably for the rest of your life.

I picked mine out, but he loves it.  He’s very proud of it and thinks it’s the prettiest ring he’s ever seen.  ๐Ÿ™‚

He wanted a round classic solitaire, I wanted a cushion cut halo, we ended up buying a gorgeous round halo! i may decide to de-halo later on down the road when I have kids.

He does.  We picked it out together.
