Yes - it is so annoying that if I could do it over I would get a full eternity band or a plain band : (13 votes)

Yes it spins and I don't like it but it's OK because it's worth having the option to re-size later : (15 votes)

I’ve heard that eternity bands can be resized; however, I think it’s really expensive (much more so that a 1/2 band).  My half eternity band does spin.  It only bothers me when I’m doing a lot of typing (weird, I know).  I like that it can be re-sized though!

I am curious about this as well as I am considering getting a half eternity band as I am hard on my hands and do work out a lot (and really like to wear my rings all the time and only take them off to clean them), however I like the idea of a eternity band and not having to worry when it spins around….

I have 2 half eternity bands and they do spin around, it is a bit annoying sometimes, but it’s easy to just turn them around. I didn’t want full ones because I knew I’d be too rough on the backs of my rings and would potentially knock diamonds loose.  Also, it is nice to know they can be resized.

Mine spins (it’s about 2/3), but I love it because my sizing bar has delicate…”embroidery”?? What do you call it when it’s metal–tooling? Either way, the designer hand-tooled a tiny little floral pattern on the sizing bar. It’s not the blingy part of the ring, but it’s still just as special. In fact, I sometimes like showing it off even more!

My 1/2 band spins, but so does my Engagement Ring… so I’m used to it. I really don’t care about it.

If you want to minimize spinning, you can also try adding the two tiny balls on the inside of the ring. They do this for large center stones to help keep them from spinning, and people that have larger knuckles so that the ring can get over the knuckle and still fit the finger properly. I have a friend who did this to her 1/2 eternity bands to keep it in place.

@Miss Starry Night: I had sizing beads soldered into my eternity band e-ring cause my fingers tend to swell sometimes. Works like a charm! Ring doesn’t spin at all.

@Theresa90405: same thing to my Engagement Ring works like a charm – and with the spinning of my 1/2 eternity band, im thinking of doing the same thing to it too.

I was completely against getting an eternity band when we were shopping, but now that I have a 1/2, I can’t stand it.  I am constantly turning the band around.  I would absolutely get a 3/4 or full eternity band if I could do it over again.

Mine spins, but so does my engagment ring, which is also kind of half eternity style.  I just match them back up again and put it how it should be.

I opted for a wrap instead of an eternity band b/c I knew if it spun or didn’t lie flat it would drive me bonkers!

Just FYI, full eternity bands CAN be resized. It’s not impossible. Talk to your jeweler about it. I have an eternity band wedding band and  I love the fact that I never have to worry about it sitting the “wrong” way. If I ever need to make it bigger in the future, they can take out some of the metal from the inside of the band.

when we got engaged my Fiance bought a set, which came with a half eternity. I believe they can be resized because my e-ring is similar to a half eternity and they did it.
