I have a dark grey moissanite (so I think because of the colour I would have noticed the oil slick mark you’re describing) and I’ve never had anything? I also live in an EXTREMELY hard water area of northern England and I do everything with my ring on? Sorry to not be more help! X

DrAtkins : Ahhh, okay, thank you. I thjnk I’ve also seen more Forever Brilliant owners say they haven’t gotten the stain, but I don’t know. I wish there was more definitive information on this.

hungrymeow : Mine is a forever brilliant 🙁 I also have a barely pink OEC (color treated) that gets the stains too! It’s easier to get out on that one. My FB OEC has like a permanet circular stain on the table.
Anyways, happy to report that I’m having an OEC diamond set 🙂

I have a 8mm C&C Forever One moissy, and yes, I have experienced this. Lotion, hard water, and other things (I never take it off) started to build an “oily” looking stain over the course of about 4 months, but it comes off VERY easily with silver polish and a soft toothbrush. I buffed it for about 2 mins, and it was completely gone! Here’s a pic for proof – I actually polished it several days ago 😉

I’m really bad with mine but no stain. I wash it daily with soap and dish detergent… While I’m doing the dishes, that counts right?. I’ll get it cleaned and inspected about every time I go to the mall. I leave it on all the time, the way I see it is I got moissy under the impression it would last and be durable if it doesn’t hold up to being worn all the time without special treatment I’ll replace it with a ddiamond.Evventhough I love everything about moissanite (fire, story, ethics, how it’s made, price) if it doesn’t hold up to daily use it doesn’t belong in my ring. Ive been lotioning up, showering and washing my hands with hard water for 7 months in and no problems on my MoCo moissy. Our water such crazy mineral deposits that ifwe don’t clean our toilet for a week it’s totally brown (not from poop).
