It’s the iron, as PP’s said, take them at night. I have done the whole taking iron with food thing and it still makes me nauseous, takig my PN’s at night have completely taken care of that.

Or as other’s said you can get the gummies, you may end up having to get an iron supplement later.

@Wylie231388:  Both prenatal & regular multivitamins tend me make me feel sick.  For me, I think it’s a combination of both the increased iron intake and also the binders used in some pills.

I started taking a liquid prenatal & absolutely love it!  I never feel sick from it & I love that it also contains whole foods like broccoli & spinach.  It looks & tastes kinda like the Green Machine smoothie that Naked Juice makes.. pretty tasty actually, if a little sweet.

I do fine with its lower iron content because I get plenty of iron in my daily diet, but you may want an additional supplement if you don’t.

@Wylie231388:  the pill form makes me the same way… But also with a headache. I switched to the gummies and have no issues

+ whatever-ing that multivitamins in general make me feel like crap.

I had some generic brand that I ended up throwing away because the made me horribly nauseous.  The gummies were fine, though, as others said don’t have iron (or calcium).

When I ran out of those, I tried Rainbow Light prenatals.  The bottle says they’re food-based, gentle on the stomach, and have non-constipating iron.  I haven’t had any problems with these – can take them any time, with or without food and they don’t bug me.

Also try different brands, if you can. My midwife gave me a week’s worth of samples of about 8 different brands. I tried all of them, some just made me queasy while others made me immediately throw up. Only one gave me no problems whatsoever–and of course it was the $60 a month prescription-only one. 😉 So that’s the one I went with!

the first few days mine made me a little nauseated, but i’ve been taking them since the summer and have been fine ever since so idk if the nausea was even caused by the vitamins.

I have to take mine with food. I usually take it with dinner and that’s helped. If I take it in the morning or don’t eat, I feel awful. The same goes for regular vitamins for me though.

I take my prenatal when I wake up. I’ll feel a bit sick if I take itand then wait a while before I eat.  If I eat right around the time I take it, I’m generally fine.

I’m going to have to try taking them right before bed!!

Only if I take them away from food. Get one with fewer B vitamins or just take frolic acid.

I take iron free ones (on doctors orders due to a medical condition) and they still make me nauseated. I take them at night and it helps a ton
