(Closed) Do(es) your ring(s) match your fiance/husband’s?

Our rings are the same metals because we wanted them to match.

Our rings are the same metals, but not on purpose.

    Our rings are different metals.

    Other (explain!)

    @october22:  That’s pretty neat!

The Fiance will have a tungsten ring with a black line/center.  Mine is a vintage diamon half eternity band.

Mine’s white gold with micro pave diamonds and his is tungsten.  Totally different, but he rarely wears his anyway.

We both have white gold but it wasn’t on purpose. We both just prefered it.

Wasn’t important to me. Mine was in the family and platinum, and we didn’t want to spend as much as it would have cost to get him a platinum ring. So we went with palladium.

my wedding set is white gold and his is tungsten with the same shiny finish so at a glance, they match … but they don’t match metals.

Fiance asked me to pick our rings as ” i dont know man! Anything you pick will be right.” So I spent months and months and MONTHS looking everywhere for something right. Low and behold, I found one with the same celtic knot pattern as his tattoo. I was so scared to show it to him! His father (who passed) gave him a necklace his father gave him and so on, and he translated it into the tattoo he has on his left hand. SUPER FRIGGIN MEANINGFUL!

    He loved it. Of course.

Mine don’t match his at all. I found a gorgeous vintage set that I am soooooooo in love with. And, he origionally proposed with the necklace his dad gave him. So I have the best of both worlds I think.

FI’s band is white gold with a satin finish.

Mine is white gold as well, but I don’t know that they “match”. He did want the same metal, though

    Ours will!

That’s very important to Fiance for some reason. He’s very against women’s bands that have diamonds (or other stones) because then the man’s band should also have diamonds to match and men just shouldn’t wear diamonds. 🙂

Who knows where he comes up with this stuff, but lucky for him I’ve always wanted a solid plain band anyway. I like the simplicity and purity of it.

    Nope, not even a little.

His is a brushed tungsten band with a single diamond set into the band. My e-ring is a white gold with pave-set diamonds, and my band is white gold with sapphires and diamonds.

It doesn’t bug me because the point is for people to know you’re married, and the rings will do just fine at that. I figured, I get to pick the band I love, and he gets to pick the band he loves!

My rings actually don’t match my fiance’s but at the same time does lol. What I did was take 3 half enternity bands and stack them together. The first one it actually my engagement band Smile. And the last is his band.

Mine is white gold (family heirloom, great grand mother’s ring) that we redipped in white gold and his is a Tungsten (almost looks like the Raiders colors…..yes he’s a Raider’s fan…..lol)

At the end of the day I don’t think it matters if they match or not, it’s that you are now committed to one another.
