Darling Husband fails at picking up his underware and his socks and putting them in the hamper. He also fails at putting the laundry away after he washes it. When I wash laundry, I put it away, but he leaves it folded on top of the washer and dryer. I guess I shouldn’t complain, because at least he folds it!

@Quietserenity: seriously cracks me up! the cooking show idea is ridiculous. Like sir, you don’t need to premeasure the cheese and butter it’s just grilled cheese… Hahaha
@Sonatine: yes! Mr V never learned how to fold towels, I get balled up towel stacks in the linen closet all the time!

Same with my Fiance and dishes, takes him foreverrrr lol

Darling Husband doesn’t do any house chores 🙁 And I am not domestic! However, when he DOES, (and when I do) he does them perfectly. We are both perfectionists, it is quite the curse!

@bowsergirl: Haha! Yeah… I don’t even think Darling Husband “sees” dust. I don’t think he has ever dusted anything a day in his life!
When I make DH/ request Darling Husband to do a chore, to his credit, he does do it very well, but … rarely if ever does he do them “on his own”/ of his own idea/ free-will. I would have to tell him exactly what to do if I wanted him to dust however… I don’t think he gets it. That is one (well, they all are-) I definitely have to do myself! I also don’t think he “notices” if the toilet needs cleaning, if the dishes need to be done, if the sink needs to be disinfected. He has some magical “avoidance” power

@HopingtobeeMrsV: That’s funny, ’cause towels are the only thing my SO can fold!

@cbee: Oh, trust me. He doesn’t see dust either! When I first went into his place, the dust was so thick on his entertainment center. When I asked him about it, he said he had never dusted it in the time he’s lived there. WHICH WAS SEVEN YEARS. Oh lordy.

My SO fails at all house chores, but I still love him.
Once he asked ‘where do I put the detergent in the dishwasher at?’ After showing him, he had dish duty for the next 2 weeks.
Most recently he couldn’t figure out how to turn on the vacuum cleaner…You guessed it, he had vacuum duty for the next 2 weeks.
I have no idea how he survived 20+ years as a bachelor!

My SO sucks at cleaning period lol. His idea at times is to shove all the clothes in the chair. He does hang up the clothes eventually.

hahaha these are funny
Fiance tries… but he half-asses everything. He’s like “I just clean what I can see why would I move the stuff on the floor and vacuum underneath when I’m just going to put it right back”… same thing for things on the counter in the bathroom… so he just goes around the soap dish and even around books or cups if they’re sitting there.
He does the dishes pretty well… except he sloshes water on to the floor and leaves it so I have to wipe that up after him or there will be splash marks everywhere.
Hahaha oh man. I don’t want to advise him too much or he just stops helping…

He fails at all types of cleaning -_- I find socks everywhere, pants on the chair, water glasses/empty bottles in any spot possible, tools on the coffee table/kitchen table, and dishes around the sink. He doesn’t know the concept of picking up things and putting them away after you use them. I always have to remind him to pick things up. When I ask him to do the dishes, he doesn’t fill the dishwasher at all(very few dishes). He doesn’t wipe down counters….oh I could go on forever.
I think his mom did everything for him!

He fails at pretty much anything domestic or handy. I asked him to make me a hot chocolate. You’d think I asked him to build me space ship. We painted a bathroom,. no help at all. Very frustrating.
