Darling Husband will probably pick up flowers of some sort – Whole Foods always has lovely roses that are $19.99 for 2 dozen for Valentine’s Day, so I buy those for my sisters!

I absolutely hate regular roses (I like garden roses) so no, I usually get flowers and a dozen chocolate covered strawberries and dinner out somewhere.

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, and I don’t really like roses, so definitely not. He likes to surprise me with gorgeous, brightly colored bouquets randomly, which is much better for me!

Darling Husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. My birthday is 11 days after and then his is 2 weeks later. In the past we always thought it was a waste of money to do anything when our birthdays were so close.

Since we don’t do anything, Darling Husband normally always gets me flowers though. He tends to give me flowers randomly (and not often), so it is something I look forward to. I tend to cook him one of his favorite meals and then we just have a night in

@renwoman:  We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. We don’t see the point to be honest, but we think it’s cool when couples do celebrate.

He doesn’t really get me flowers much throughout the year either. I’d rather he show his love by helping with the cooking or cleaning or just randomly hugging me and saying how much he loves me.

My fiance buys me flowers any day other than Valentines Day, and it’s always unexpected and never roses. I hate roses. Probably because they are so cliche. I love big bold flower arrangements though, and he will get me something with lots of colour and texture.

If he knows whats good for him, yes there will be flowers on that table on valentines day. I don’t care what kind, i don’t care if its a single flower, i don’t care if its freaking daffodils you picked off the side of the road. Don’t spend 30 dollars on a perfect bouquet of a dozen red roses… but i’m your WIFE – you get me something!

Last year I got sunflowers which were our wedding flower 🙂 I really hope i get more sunflowers this year!

We can’t afford to exchange gifts this year tho so thats our alternative.

He will usually get me some kind of flower and a gift card to my favorite coffee shop but I dont demand it . I do love roses but not red ones, he knows I hate red roses. I like the pink ones better but I don’t expect and never demand flowers/roses for a made up holiday

He normally sends me a dozen roses at work, but I may tell him not to do it this year. It’s such a rip off on valentine’s day.

I voted other because I don’t EXPECT anything. I usually get something, but not because it’s some chore than I force on him.

One vday I got one rose. The ones I’ve most appreciated are the ones picked from the back yard.. At least those suckers are affordable!

We are very (very) frugal and as such do not buy into the theory of splurging because it’s feb 14.

The cutest ever was when I picked him up from dropping off the truck (he’s a courier) and he tells me he looked allllll day while he drove around for a flower to pick but couldn’t find one. I smirked and was like.. That’s sweet. You know it’s February and we live in Canada right?? Bahaha ha. It was too adorable though. An ultimate it’s the thought that counts moment 😛
