I live about 40 miles north of Charlotte, NC…they drop a crown since Charlotte is nicknamed the “Queen City”.  After having grown up in South Jersey, I think it’s kind of lame–nothing compares to the ball in Times Square!

@MsMamaBear: Haha, I’m scared to go.  I read that someone got their throat slashed at a Marta station after the peach drop this year! *Scary*

I live in Chicago (as in in the city limits), but I don’t have a clue whether or not we drop anything!

@piglet_625: I’m from right near you so you’ve probably already heard of the white rose in York, the M&M in Etown (which is awesome since it’s dropped at ~9 for those with early bed times), the bologna in Lebanon and I feel like Manheim does something but I can’t remember (a cow maybe?)

I was in San Antonio for NYE and they had a lighted ball, kind of boring especially since it was actually midnight and I was pretty much asleep since 10.
