My bf and I are custom designing my e-ring…a cushion cut micro-pave ring with a halo. However, I’ve seen how these rings, b/c of the base holding up the halo, do not sit flush with the wedding bands. But I really want it to! Do any of you have rings with halos where the wedding band sits flush? I don’t expect my band to be completely flush, but I also don’t want it to look like i have a double shank e-ring. Any pictures (profile pic of the basket), advice, etc would help!

It’s pretty hard to have them sit flush. Our fingers are not perfect cylinders. Your jeweller should be able to anticipate that when creating the design. The easiest way to get them to sit flush is to have a wedding band that is contoured or one that is a ring insert. Talk to your jeweller.
The cushion cut is an excellent choice, I love mine!

Mine are pretty close. I don’t have a pictures of them on my finger though.

If you don’t mind the ring being a little “taller” you can have the jeweler make it so that the halo part would be tall enough to fit a band underneath it. I don’t know if that makes sense without seeing it, but I’ve definitely seen it done…unfortunately I don’t have any pics. Here’s a website where the ring shows what I’m talking about though. It’s not cushion, but same idea.
