- Wedding: October 2018
It’s the last day of May. FH is horrible with dates, so it’ll be easy for him to remember. And I just liked the idea of a May wedding. That’s it.

Random date. I didn’t have a choice, really. For my formal wedding in June, we had to pick a date that all the families had off. That was June 16th.
For our legal wedding, we had to pick a date that was after my husband was home from deployment and a date that was before he deployed again (which happens frequently.)
Not what I would have done in an ideal situation, but we’re married and that’s all that matters.

Nope, not at all! We wanted a fall wedding, but I am a teacher and I am in post-graduate school, so it needed to be timed around the business of the start of the school year. And, my birthday is mid-October and I didn’t want our anniversary in the same month as my bday.

Not really. It falls during Memorial Day Weekend in 2014, so that’s why we picked it, but we’re not emotionally tied to it in any way (yet).

Nope. My venue gave us a list of dates they were available and we went on which would be most likely to have the nicest weather for being outside. We later found out that the date we originally had on hold was my fiance’s divorced parents anniversary so I quickly changed that, haha! But the date we ultimately went with is exactly 2 months before our dating anniversary so it’s pretty easy to remember. 🙂

We are getting married on the same date that we began dating and that he proposed (a year later). I wanted a longer engagement, and a summer wedding, so I knew once he asked me to marry him that the wedding would be on June 19th, and we picked the year (2014) because it worked best for family/school reasons

Our date is 12 days before our 10 year anniversary. We would have waited, but the date we chose works better for family members who are travelling.

None whatsoever! We just chose it based on school holidays to make travel easier for families with kids, and our family/friends that are studying or work as teachers.

The closest Saturday to Halloween for us. Not going to waiti for the 31st of October to hit a Saturday to get married. Nothing really special about the date but October is definitely a month I love 🙂

It is my FFIL’s birthday! It is also the only Saturday that would give me a two week honeymoon and allow us to go on family vacation. It also works really well as a threat at work for a major deadline. We will meet the deadline prior to my last day in the office because I will be getting on a plane and they can’t move forward with me signing a paper first.

Well I knew I couldn’t pick the week before because it was my best friend’s date (although she said she couldn’t care less… I’d still never do that) and there are certain numbers I just “don’t like” (lol) so I was very satisfied with the one I chose.
