It will be our three year dating anniversary and also the same date that we spread his father’s ashes last year. We’ll also be getting married on the same beach where both of his parents’ ashes were spread so that way they can be there with us in a way 🙂

It is two years from the exact date we became engaged. It is also fiancé’s great-grandparent’s wedding date.

When we got engaged my Fiance got tired of people asking if we had a date yet so he picked one randomly (9/21/13) because we knew we wanted a fall wedding. When we went to book our venue they had 9/21/13 & 9/28/13 open but the hotel where most of our guests would be staying had already booked a 13 year old hockey team for 9/21/13 so 9/28/13 it was! It’s also 2 days after our 5.5 year anniversary!

Awww… that sounds like my story 🙂 Our dating anniversary is 10/27/09…3 years later he propsed on our anniversary, and this year we will be married on that day! So yes, it is very significant!

Ours is almost exactly 6 months from the anniversary of when we first started dating. We celebrate them both <3

Our dating anniversary was the date I wanted the most, either that or the anniversary of when he proposes (he will in feb, I don’t know which day) in fact I chose that date when I registered on the forum because we didn’t have a date yet, maybe it brought me good luck because it didn’t seem realistic since we were going to go the fiancee visa route.
Then we realized that getting married in my country and then do the visa would work better for us and allow us to have that date among many other benefits, neither of us are into big parties or drinking and I think it kind of goes with our personality to have our wedding on a tuesday haha, at least I don’t have to worry about whatever place I want to be booked and guests won’t be able to try to drag on the celebration… I love my family but I hate being the center of attention, so best of both worlds!

No specific date although my partner loves Halloween so 31/10/13 had been toyed with initially until we showed the Future Mother-In-Law and Mother-In-Law snapshots of he Nightmare before Xmas wedding cake and told them that they would all have to get dressed up they were horrified.
A wedding in the summer would provide better sunlight for camera lenses, it would be hotter and it would not get dark until 10pm.
Summer it is then.
Best of luck with your wedding

I didn’t want to just pick some random Saturday, unless it was a cool number combination. The only date for 2013 that stood out to me was December 31, 2013 which would have been very cool but family thought that might be bad timing and interfere with others holiday plans. The next good one was February 14, 2014. And that’s basically our anniversary, since our first “official” date was for V Day.

We were married on my husband’s grandparents anniversary. He is named after his grandfather who passed away several years ago.

- Wedding: September 2012 - Cabin
9-29. Our favorite number is 9, there are 2 of us.. So we surrounded the 2 with the 9.. 9-29 2012 was the year after we were engaged, and it worked out perfectly. We wanted a fall wedding and it fell on a Saturday.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
Sure. It’s the day I got married. That makes it pretty significant.

We wanted September. Our date was the only one that our 1st choice photog and 1st choice venue were available.

Nope! We wanted a Fall wedding, but wanted to minimize the chance of rain. So we picked the first weekend after the start of Fall. Funnily enough, it rained a little anyway. We picked a Sunday to keep costs down.
