We are both huge dorky scientists.  March 14, 2015 for Pi Day (3.1415…).  We actually plan on having pie instead of cake.

Picked a random date even before the official engagement then found out it was FI’s grandparent’s anniversary. We were so happy it was available at the venue we wanted for that day.

Legal date is our anniversary. Destination Wedding date is after most schools get out. Our Destination Wedding date is June 19, 2013…I’m out of school mid-May, Bridesmaid or Best Man gets out 2nd week of June, another Bridesmaid or Best Man  (teacher) is finished by the 2nd week of June. Which turned out to be pointless (bc I hear those 2 BMs probably aren’t going to the wedding).

I wanted an October date because its my favorite month. But the venue we chose doesn’t do weddings at all in Oct. So I chose the last weekend in Sept so I could still have a fall wedding and its close enough to Oct that I’m satisfied. We met Sept 19 so I’ll just tell people we wanted our anniversary month 🙂

It’s my father’s birthday and also the birth month of my FI’s oldest brother who recently passed away.  He wants to name our first child “June.”  I’m not interested but we can definitely have a June wedding. 🙂

Nope, Dh works 4 on, 4 off, and we wanted a summer wedding.  We emailed the venue for available dates on his regular days off because he was on leave restriction all summer, and boom, the one that was left was our wedding.

Yes! Our birthdays are exactly one week apart, so we’re getting married on the Saturday between our birthdays!

My orignal date was June 24 which would have been my parents 53rd anniversary but we are having a destination wedding on an off-shore Belizean Island and we won’t meet the “residency” requirements for our license and the island boat only goes to the mainland on Saturdays and Wednesdays.  So we are getting the license on Wednesday and getting married on Friday.

I’m a teacher, so it pretty much had to be during the summer.

From there, I realized 7-9-11 (consectutive odd numbers) was a Saturday.  DH LOVES number patterns.

The 9th is also our dating anniversary (though the month is off, we started dating in August), and DH actually asked me out on 7-11-09.  Flip the last two numbers, and you have our wedding date.  I didn’t realize those things until after picking the date, though.

I had a choice between April 20th and April 27th and I chose the 27th because I didnt want my wedding anniversary date to be on national weed smoking day 420 lol

I originally wanted April.. but it was cheaper to do it in late fall-winter.. so we picked the day after our 5 year dating anniversary, which is cool! Our rehersal dinner will actually be on our anniversary.

Only that DH thought it would be “cool”. (Real wedding date 11-11-11) It really ended up just meaning about a million other people thought the same thing. Our venue was quite busy that day.

My grandparents were married on a 10th, as were my parents, so we’ve decided that we’ll be married on a 10th that isn’t either of their anniversaries.
