MY dress had to be white, because that’s what I wanted! Your dress is gorgeous and does not need to be white haha!!

No it does not! I kind of wish I had picked a pink dress, because I love pink. But my dress only came in white or ivory and I got ivory.

@Merinda1994:  Gorgeous dress!

No, wedding dresses do not need to be white.  In fact, I think there are very few people who can pull off a bright white and not look washed out.  Most gowns come in ivory, pearl, champagne and other off-white colors for that very reason.

I like the pearl too!  My own gown was ivory and I came pretty close to getting it in champagne.

You definitely do not have to wear white , Im not a fan of stark white wedding dresses, mine is more ivory. I love that dress on you 🙂

The only reason I wore a white white dress was because it actually made my pale skin look less pale…  The pearl color looks gorgeous on you, so go with what you like!

to me, that dress looks like a version of white/ivory/little bit of gray so i think you won’t regret it all because it looks very bridal

My girlfriend got married in dark purple. My dress was platinum.  I didn’t feel any less bridal.

The bridal shop that I bought my dress from said that she does about 15% of her sales in ‘white’ dresses. I’m glad that white isn’t the norm because I think it makes most dresses look cheap. I wanted a champagne colored dress but my only options were white or diamond white…which is really close to ivory but a little less yellow.

That pearl colour is gorgeous. I think it’s becoming increasingly more common for brides to opt for non-white wedding gowns. I feel like blush, champagne, ecru etc are all almost as mainstream as white/ivory now. And there’s more in the way of black, grey, blue, and red for brides too. Wear what you love, and what suits you. For what it’s worth I think the pearl is pretty bridal-looking anyway.
