I’m wearing cream, champagne or ivory, depending on whether I’m making or buying my dress, since as a natural redhead with freckles & pale skin, white makes me more pale and blotchy.

Remember, wearing white has only been a trend since Queen Victoria – before then, blue was a very common dress color! It has nothing to do with your “purity” or status or anything else. Wear the dress that makes you happy. The pearl color is gorgeous.

I had one friend get married in a playful blush pink dress that totally fit her personality, and another who was a woman of color who felt like shiny diamond white did weird things to her skin tone and wore GOLD. Both were stunning. Wear what works for you 🙂

I love champaign, pearl, blush, sherbet , oatmeal or any variation of these colours! I have no intention of wearing white or ivory on my wedding day, and I have a pretty traditional groom!

I think you will likely never have the chance to wear a beautiful gown like your wearing, just as much as you’ll never wear a white gown. This is your shot to wear a dress you LOVE!
