- Wedding: April 2016 - Gorse Hill, Surrey, UK
Did you pick out the music together? Did they know about it before the wedding or was it a complete surprise on the day?
My Fiance doesn’t want to know what music I’ve picked but I’m struggling to decide if I want to walk down the aisle to the proper song or the instrumental version. I would really like his input but he doesn’t want to know!

My other half is sorting out the playlist for the music at the venue and buying the music because the app is linked to his bank account. I’d have preferred to keep it secret but that’s not how it’s worked out.
I’ve chosen the Vitamin String Quartet version of Don’t Stop Believing by Journey; I like the instrumental version because it’s not overly distracting; I always want to sing if there’s lyrics. 😉

We did the music playlist together. I didn’t tell him the song but it is on the dj account for him to see if he wants to. To be honest, I don’t think he cares either way

We picked it together 🙂 1) it’s his wedding too; and 2) he’s more musically inclined than I am.

Even if I told Fiance, he would never remember or care anyway.. So it’s a secret of sorts.

I wanted to keep it a secret, but once I played the song for Fiance, he thought it was nice but not THE song. we listened to another song by the same artist and he said…. THATS IT!! I agree 🙂 We are keeping the song a secret for our guests. I can’t waaaaaiiiiiiiiit….

My DH actually picked it out before we even got engaged. We were listening to it one night and he asked if I would walk down the aisle to it. We got engaged maybe a year or so later and were chatting about music. We both rememberend the conversation so it was an easy decision. It was Angels by XX 🙂

We used the same song for everyone because we had a very small wedding party – just us and the flower girl & ring bearer.
It was Badly Drawn Boy’s I Love NYE. There’s a swell in the music about 90 seconds in I think where it changes a bit, and that was supposed to be my cue. However I honestly don’t remember the music at all! I was too excited to listen to it!

We both walked down the aisle – he walked with his mother, I walked with my dad. Same music all around. We were outdoors in the desert and I found a Western theme – I think from a John Wayne movie – that worked really well for us. Although he was somewhere else in the house when I found it, I wouldn’t have used it if he didn’t approve never even occurred to me that it would be a secret when he knew everything else about the wedding and/or made the decisions with me.

We chose both pieces of music together – processional and recessional. If you’re having a rehearsal beforehand then he will most likely find out what the music is then because I would advise you practise walking to it.
