I really want to somehow include my dog in our wedding, but don’t want to scare her by having her walk down the aisle or have myself worry about her while we are at the altar. Did anyone include their dog in a different way? Maybe not as big of a role but still something special? Thanks!

Include her in getting ready pictures, or on signage (like your dogs signature drink).

We had our dog at our wedding just as a gues . He was dressed in a tuxedo that my mom made him. In the program, we listed him with the groomsmen with the title of best dog.

Have whoever is handing out programs hold onto her and sit with her or as pp said just have her in getting ready pictures.

We had the dog with us for the ” getting ready” pictures and he was supposed to be brought to doggie daycare right before the ceremony. My father in law decided to walk him down the aisle with him and my parkmother in law instead. It worked out fine… He had to tug him a few times to keep him on task, but it was really nice to see him in the crowd

alee88: We couldn’t have our dog at our ceremony due to venue restrictions, so DH’s cousin went back to the hotel right afterwards and brought her to where we were taking photos. I’m so glad we were able to include her in some way (we’re obsessed), and the photos with her are some of my favorites from the entire day!

I love these ideas! I’m a huge dog lover and want to find a way to include my babies in some way.

I saw someone on here on one of the other message boards who took various photos of their dog with signs of numbers, and used those as their table numbers. It was super cute. I also love the idea of naming a signature drink after your dog!
I’d caution against bringing the dog to the ceremony. Both weddings I’ve been to that had dogs caused problems with poop, barking, and allergic guests.
