I mean, either they’re joking or your Fiance will have to say something.

Hopefully this will be one of those silly stories that you can look back on and laugh about.

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help but laugh at that.

I always blame things on the dog, and pretend she has human qualities.

I would causually bring it up in a joke if you saw them sometime. And pretend it was a joke, and then base it on their reaction. Be like “HAHa you gave me a chuckle when Spot RSVPd himself…” And then if they were like “Oh, no.. that wasn’t a joke. He expects some kibble at the table…” Then it would give you an oppurtunity to be like.. YEAH NO THANKS.

If you won’t see them before your wedding…?? I dont know.

Get someone who knows them (like your Future Mother-In-Law or Future Father-In-Law, NOT you or Fiance if you can help it) to call them up.

And then tell whomever it is that calls that they are to inform the couple some version of the hotel is pet friendly; the wedding is not.

Good lord, what is WITH people today??

I would make sure that you communicate with them somehow before the day of! This would be such a terrific joke in my family, though.

@LittleSu:    one of our manager’s wife has replaced children with her dog – we were on a plane and it landed, she whipped out the phone to call the dog to tell it she had landed and would be home soon.   at our office christmas party she wanted to drunk call the dog to talk to it
