@eloping:  Wow, to each their own, but I’d have a hard time not laughing in front of her  drunk-dialing her dog!

Hi Uncle Artie!

Got your dogs RSVP today! 😉 That little rascal! AHah, well tell him he can come, BUT only if he wears this outfit..

I’m sure oif your dog is as much as a jokester as you are he will wear it!!!!! 😉

PS, ask him if he wants chicken or lamb with his meal! 😉

Some people see their dogs as their children…sure they can be appart of the family, but common!!!

Do you or Future In-Laws have a pet? Have them send a post card to the naughty dog. “Dear Fido, It was so good to hear from you. Unfortunately, I’ll be enjoying an all expenses paid vacation at the Kennel Club from XX-XX, so I won’t be able to host you. Let’s arrange a rabbit chasing weekend another time. XO, Mr. Jinx”

I think, from an etiquette perspective, it is perfectly appropriate for you to presume they are joking and act accordingly. If, after responding in kind to tease them about their little prank, you discover that they were serious, then you need to have a polite conversation informing them that, unfortunately, Fido will have to remain at home or at the hotel during all wedding festivities.

Umm.. my dog is totally my baby and I bring him EVERYWHER with me, but I would never assume that he was invited to a wedding.. unless it was one of his furry friends getting married.
