(Closed) Dogs – Digestive Probiotics – does anyone give their dog any?

My friend gives her dog acidophilus, but to balance the yeast in the dog to keep ear infections at bay.  She works at target and just gives him the target ones.  My vet does recommend yogurt….

Meh.  The only time I’ve used probiotics is when my dogs had the runs.  And then, like my vet said, ” I can sell you this $20 bottle of pills or you can put a couple tablespoons of yogurt on his food.”  We just use yogurt.

For my foster greyhounds, we just bought 1% plain yogurt and put a few tablespoons on their breakfast every morning. They LOVE it, and it helps their digestion quite a lot.
