We are having the same issue.  I think we would both like to have our “first child” there with us…just a matter of logistics.  Who will walk her down the isle?  Will she be ok with such a large crowed (300+ guests)?  What will we do with her right after?  There is a lot to think about…but I really want her there!

We are having both of our dogs in our wedding ceremony.   Malika (our female weim) is going to walk with my FH and stand with the best man.  Zaegar (our male golden retriever) is going to walk with my Maid/Matron of Honor and stand with her during the ceremony.   They are going to walk out with us once they announce us husband and wife.   I plan for them to be in quite a bit of the photographs but for the ones I want them to opt out of we are going to have their cages there (decorated of course).  Once it is time to head to the reception we are having them picked up and dropped off at the boarding facility we take them to.   At least that’s our plan for now.  Hopefully it all works out.  We have also thought about having my nephew walk them down together and stand on the grooms side with them.  That way if they misbehave due to the excitement of all the people he can just walk off with them.

I really wanted my two bird dogs in my ceremony, but I think they are a little too wild.  It was difficult to find someone who wanted to “walk them” down the aisle.  I just imagined some little kid getting dragged down the aisle.  They are such a big part of our lives, I think I will represent them with photos/ prints.

Our pyrenees is like our child too but we live in california now and the wedding is back home in Oklahoma. The dog wieghs too much to fly and driving 27 hours to and from the wedding doesn’t seem too relaxing! It makes me sad but we are going to splurge on the Dog Wag hotel in downtown San Fran- google it, it seems like the ultimate doggy luxury! I attached some pics from their website 😉
