@akkaer1:  When someone walks in, the first thing they will notice is no dishwasher. They may not immediately notice not having enough storage. Besides, they can solve storage issues by having a standing pantry cabinet or storing things in other parts of the house. The only way to solve the dishwasher situation is to do the dishes by hand.

I’d say dishwasher. Someone could always get a storage shelf to put in the kitchen but it’s a lot harder to add a dishwasher. My college apartment has a dishwasher but less storage and my house has storage but no dishwasher. A dishwasher makes all the difference! Even my college dorm had an in room dishwasher.

You can add a shelf or baker rack or something. I will never again live without a dishwasher.

Dishwasher, for sure.  There are solutions to add storage – you either have a dishwasher or you don’t.  I won’t even consider a place that doesn’t have a dishwasher anymore.

You can always get creative about storage solutions that are inexpensive, but not so much with a dishwasher. I would buy the place with a dishwasher over one that has more storage – although I do love storage!

I never use my dishwasher because there are only two of us. It would take a week to full it up and we don’t have enough pots to wait that long to wash them! I also find washing dishes kind of relaxing lol. So, I would prefer more storage but it looks like I’m in the minority.

@akkaer1:  Dishwasher is defintely more of a selling point.  I just moved into a kitchen that had a dishwasher and I was so excited… until I started moving all my things into the kitchen and realized there was signficantly less space than my other kitchen…. but, I just made it work (the lesser storage).  Even still, I’d rather have the dishwasher than another cabinet for storage!  And, the funny thing is that I don’t really use the dishwasher all that often – but, when I do – I LOVE it and am so glad to have it.

Dishwasher, much harder to put in yourself if you want one (which MOST people do) than to create more storage and get creative. No one will notice one less cabinet, they WILL notice a lack of dishwasher though.

For “me right now”, I would very much prefer having more storage over a dishwasher.  Our apartment has a dishwasher, but since there are only two of us and our pots/pans can only be handwashed, the only thing we use the dishwasher for is as a glorified drying rack.  We run it MAYBE 3 times a year.

However, if a family would be living in this trailer, I think the lack of a dishwasher would be a big issue.  Families generate way more dirty dishes, and taking care of kids means having less time to spend standing in front of a sink washing dishes.
