Hey Ladies,
We’re having a 10am ceremony and I’m starting to think hair! I know that a traditional up-do is just out of the question as I have 2 hours to get ready!
Here’s the first thing I’ve come up with… a simple side “sweep” curled ponytail.
I will of course you something a little less obvious to hold my hair, but this is what was I found laying on my vanity. And sorry for the blur… been kinda hard taking self pics lol
Thanks for your opinions

Aww you’re a natural beauty!!
While it’s nice.. I’m not sure it says “bride” enough? I think you need some volume on top?

I think it is cute! I’d maybe just back-comb your hair a little at crown to give you a little more volume and then use a clear elastic with a piece of hair wrapped around it and it’ll be perfect!

Looks very good! I would just take a bit of hair and wrap it around the hairband.

Very pretty! I would recommend parting your hair a little bit further over though, so it’s a bit more of a dramatic sweep across your forehead. Maybe also a little volume on the top? Those curls look awesome though. Kudos to you for being able to do your own hair!

I agree that a little bit of a volume would go a long way! I also might be the dissent here, but I tend to think that this hair style looks better with hair thats a bit longer than yours is. I don’t think you get the full effect of the curls because your hair isn’t very long. I still think its beautiful but I think maybe a different style might suit your hair length better.

Looks great! I agree with the other bees, maybe teasing it a little at the top??

It’s gorgeous! I agree with other posters that a little more volume will make it stunning! I am so jealous. I wish I could do my own hair that well. 🙂

I love it. It is simple but elegant. If you wanted to dress it up you could even add some hair flowers or something sparkly. But I think it looks great!

I think it looks fantastic – but I’m biased, since I’m going for the side-sweep too!

Definitely needs some volume on the top, it looks just too flat to me. Then it will look great.

I’d definitely add in some backcombing for volume, and I agree with Krises about your length of hair. This look is pretty as a casual hairstyle, but I think you could do something a lot more special for your wedding.
My first suggestion would be to try nixing the ponytail altogether and pinning it instead. My bridesmaids collectively decided to do sideswept curls held by bobby pins for theirs, and it looked amazing. It would also help you keep a bit more length.
Second suggestion: side bun. Do the same ponytail ever so slightly further back from your ear, loosely coil your hair around the hair elastic so it keeps some volume, and pin sporadically.

@MrsMcGyro *secret* I have a really wierd hairline & if I parted any further over it’d look like I had a bald spot. lol (we hide it)
to all the “poof”/volume bees…. that’s the ONE thing my hair just refuses to do! lol
I did pull my “bangs” a little farther down and this is what I got
I’ll also be wearing a birdcage veil that comes down kinda diagonally over my right eye

Can you tell I had fun with these.. lol
