This article has some options- http://apracticalwedding.com/2014/08/spf-flashback/

I like makeup forever hd, it matches my skintone and hides redness. Most days I wear tinted moisterizer (but might switch to a powder like bare minerals etc soon for summer) but makeupforever has higher coverage. No redness! I have dry skin, but I wear it with a moisterizer.

I was going to suggest the article from PP.  It has a lot of good info.

My main concern with wedding day makeup is how long it last and will it wear off when I am hugging family and friends. I have done some research and I found that dermablend has excellent reviews for all day waterproof wear with no rub off.  I have not tried it yet and plan to go get color matched next week to give it a test try.  I also read that Lancome was excellent but It DOES rub off easily. (tried it yesterday)

I was going to suggest Makeup Forever HD, with a good setting powder and spray. It’s specifically formulated to be photo-ready, and it’s not too heavy.

I never knew about primer before my wedding. It was amazing.

aimerxoxo:  Just curious, because I don’t know a lot about these things (I rarely wear makeup) but I’m trying to learn since I’m going to do my own makeup too:  what does SPF have to do with it?

MelissainNC:  Sometimes SPF bounces light at the camera and your face looks very shiny or ghostly.

aimerxoxo:  Have you tried NARS CC cream?  I have used it with Makeup Forever matte Primer and it wears very well.  It photographs well with setting powder and finishing spray too.

Lokie85:   Dermablend!! I’ve also heard good things. They sell it at Ulta now. my friend with scaring and discoloration swears by it. another friend uses the body one to cover her tattoo. It’s on my list to try once I run out of my current one.

I used L’Oreal True Match and it was great!

I just finished a hunt for a new foundation. my suggestion is to go and get several samples from Sephora and/or Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc. Give yourself plenty of time…I spent more than 2 months getting samples and going back for more.

I am 40 with large pores, combo skin and roseacea. I was looking for something that had medium to full coverage, would last all day and would not make me greasy and would not sink into my pores or look cakey.

I tried more than 10 foundations from Guerlain to Maybelline. Estée Lauder double wear foundation was the winner. Loreal Infallable is great too–but their colors were too orange/yellow for me.  I would also suggest a primer (Makeup forever is great). For a finishing powder…make sure it doesn’t give any white flash back in photos so you will also want to test your foundation/powder taking pictures with flash.

Do you happen to have an Ulta or kohls near you? They carry Lorac and IT cosmetics which are pretty goof as well.

Urbany decay HD ultra had good coverage but I ended up too greasy.

All of the matte foundations did not look good with my pores and were too cakey-they are better for younger skin so could be great for you…every line has one, I tried Clinique, Hourglass, Nars and Mac.

I also tried some that were not full coverage: the new Tarte foundation(rainforest of the sea), Laura mercier and benefit(don’t remember the names of the last two).

I love the kat Von D lock it foundation. It’s full coverage too.  I use a beauty blender with it. I have it on right now (no filter).
