When my in laws stayed (and when we stayed at theirs) we didn’t BD but that was because it wasn’t the fertile window – trust me if it was (especially after 8 cycles) we would’ve regardless. Obviously we would’ve been super quiet and respectful but NO WAY would I let a cycle slip past with no chance! Before TTC I wouldn’t while people are in the house though (esp. Parents etc) because I figure the 1-2 nights they have stayed we could keep our hands off each other hehe but as others have said when TTC and FW are involved all bets are off ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course we do, but always on the floor. Our bed is ridiculously loud.

We never abstain when we have house guests.  I don’t understand how that’s rude or gross? We just make sure to keep quiet  What we do in our bedroom is no ones business! I mean we still go #2 when we have house guests!  At least sex doesn’t leave a stink.

I don’t see how it would be rude or gross.. unless you’re 12.

Just be quiet! Which I think could be fun ๐Ÿ™‚

I uh…yea I’d totally have sex with house guests…especially if we were TTC.

Granted I think its kind of fun to see how quiet we can be and we’ll even do it on the floor to make minimum noise. Everyone is adults in the house…and as long as you aren’t screaming and banging the crap out of the walls I think you’ll be fine BDing while having guests.

I don’t understand why you would even think you shouldn’t have sex in your own house. My husband and I aren’t TTC and we still would have sex if we had visitors if we were in the mood. Just be considerate and keep it down a little. Turn the TV on or something.

@Treejewel19:  Yeah I would make it happen ๐Ÿ™‚ Guests wouldn’t stop me as long as we each have our own rooms.

There’s a chance they’ll see my bras and lacey things hang-drying in the laundry room, they might smell one of our farts, and they might have to fall asleep at night knowing there’s a good possibility of us going at it in the next room. That’s part of being a houseguest! (and its especially excusable if you’re TTC, methinks.)

I would never do that with houseguests around, but I see your predicament. What if you bought them movie tickets or something?

I would just DTD! Find a postion that isn’t too loud and go for it! Its not like they don’t know you have sex. My SO and I have DTD while visiting family before and we’ve never gotten caught! Good luck!

We TTC for almost two years, so toward the end, all bets were off.

We did it while we had houseguests, and while we WERE houseguests at both his and my parents house.  I mean, it just needs to be a delivery system, not necessarily the best, most passionate sex of your life.  It’s easy enough to do it super quietly and nobody will be the wiser.  Like another poster mentioned, we did it on the floor if we were somewhere with a particularly squeaky bed.

@Treejewel19:  My Darling Husband and I actually conceived while my sister was over visiting! We had a couple of fans going and tried not to make any noise. It was tough, but so worth it in the end! The funniest thing ever though was when we announced to my sister she counted back and asked how long ago she had been visiting (she only visits about once a year)!

My SIL sent her parents out on an errand.   Just forget some items from the grocery store or something and send them out to pick them out as a favour to you so you get at least 10 or 15 minutes to yourselves.
