    @Dell79:  !iH Wink

    I’d say, while it may not be perfect (who’s to say what is), it sounds perfect for you two.

    If you have your hearts set on a venue and date, how will it feel to have waited & then not be able to book?

    Btw, love that he’s so considerate over the deposit. And LOVE that wedding band!!

    Edit: you know the proposal is coming anyway, but you don’t know exactly when, so it’ll still be a surprise. This way you’d have one thing less to worry about.

    Book it, you don’t want to pass on the date/venue you really want because of the timing of the proposal. I know it is not ideal, but at least you will have the wedding you really want!

    I agree that you should book it to make sure you don’t miss out. That should actual put LESS pressure on your Boyfriend or Best Friend, since you don’t need an immediate proposal to ensure your wedding date

    You’re story is somewhat similar to mine. You don’t want to miss out on your vendors of choice, so go for it. Maybe limit who you tell family wise so it is still as surprise for them.

    It really sounds as if he is completely committed to moving forward in marriage with you but that he just wants to have control over the actual timing and method of the proposal. Your deciding on a date and booking a venue together with his full blessing prior to his actually proposing is not a bad idea. In fact, it seems to make complete sense for the two of you in your situation.

    I think you should go ahead and book the venue, while giving him fair warning that you will need to place the order for your gown AT LEAST six months in advance. Then he can select whatever time and place he would like to propose to you, as long as you have sufficient time to shop for and order your dress and secure any other any other long-lead-time-requiring wedding vendors or items.

    By the way, I love your band!! It looks very much like mine! (Mine is a half-eternity band, though. I can’t tell if your diamonds continue all the way around your ring.)

    Wink @Dell79:

    Seriously, how spooky. I pressed ‘reply’ then the emoticon & it placed it backwards!

    @Dell79:  I need to do my nails today, or I would take a new one of just the band on my finger by itself. Here it is with my e-ring, however.  Mine is seven stones totalling 1 carat, set in platinum.  I really love these kinds of wedding bands, because they are sooooo sparkly!! ๐Ÿ™‚ P,S. Please ignore my ridiculously dry skin in this pic!

    @Dell79:  Thank you so much!! It’s very nice to hear positive comments about my rings, since, at times, I feel as if I am a baguette girl living in a halo world, lol! Your mother’s ring is beautiful, by the way! Her center diamond is clearly MUCH larger than mine. Mine is a 1.21-carat center diamond flanked by .75 carats in baguettes (tcw of both baguettes togther.)

    Can you post a pic of your gorgeous band with your e-ring, or does your Fiance have your e-ring hidden somewhere? ๐Ÿ™‚
