I haven’t had time to review the flags yet.

You really have no idea why your posts generate flags?

Could it be this?

“Tell your fiance’ that you would prefer not to shake your guests down for cash or lead them to believe you’re so desperate for money you have to beg for it.”

No, No one could possibly be offended by this.

@lisa105: I think what you need to realize is that your comments come off as very condescending – as if you are some ettiquette godess and everyone must bow down to you. You also come off as very ignorant. This is a cultural issue. Some cultures do it. Some don’t. In your culture it might be considered tacky. In other cultures it’s the norm. Putting down others for their culture is offensive and borderline harassement. We all are entitled to our opinions. But we are also entitled to a forum free of judgement and out-of-line comments.

If you feel so passionately about ettiquete, write a book. But don’t insult everyone Bee who asks a questions or starts a topic about an issue you don’t like. It’s rude and uncalled for.

The end.

@njm1313: awww thanks! I mean there are a few things at a wedding that would offend me. Racial slurs, live porn, and animal sacrifices…yeah…that’s it. It’s amazing how we are told to follow the big book of etiquette and follow it without questioning it.

@crayfish:  And I suppose your last post to me wasn’t abrasive?  Its quite obvious that plenty of abrasiveness is tolerated if not encouraged here depending upon who is being abrasive.  If you’re going to enforce standards at least enforce them consistently.

I’m sorry that some people can’t bear to read anything they don’t agree with or can’t read an opinion or a fact without taking it personally.  Maybe they need a tougher skin.  I also fail to see the point in the flag system if the poster being flagged is never made aware of them or isn’t actually breaking forum rules.
