I’m doing a donation with tent cards as well. The organization prints them for me…have you asked? Maybe if you send them a picture of the cat, they can print the cards for you.

@fishwoman: Have you tried http://www.uprinting.com? We are using their postcard printing service for our Save the Dates, only on the backside, instead of address and mailing information, it will just be another side to the card… If that makes sense? You can choose your own custom size if you would like and then maybe get some acrylic frames from Wal-Mart ($1/ea) to display them in?

On a side note, I wanted to thank you… My Fiance and I were trying to figure out what to do for favors and after I saw this post I knew we had to donate to the dog rescue where we got our chocolate lab… We actually have three pets, a chocolate lab (18 months), a cat (2 years) and a beagle (10 weeks) and we got them all through either a humane society or a pet rescue. We have both become very passionate about rescuing animals and are support the rescues we got our pets from as much as we can. This is the perfect way to help out even more. Thanks for the idea!

We did a donation to the rescue group where we got our dog Harley and are doing little “favors” also.  I found these small recycled boxes at Michaels (all purchased with a 40% off coupon) and then went to Candywarehouse.com and ordered some tiny dog bone candies.  I am wrapping the candy filled boxes with ribbon and then a friend is making tags that says a donation has been made on one side and then a picture of Harley, our dog, on the other side.

I know it kinda defeats the purpose of just doing the donation since technically there is a favor but I just thought it would be a cute way to show it…..and really not too expensive.

@Jushackett:LOVE that idea too… I was thinking about having my Future Mother-In-Law make some dog bone sugar cookies and then finding some cheap cellophane bags and tying them with a ribbon and a note saying we donated to the Humane Society… I kind of like the candle idea too because I could do those weeks in advance…

@cheapchicbride: I love both those ideas. I think the cookies would be awesome…if you had time to do them close to the date….or maybe Future Mother-In-Law could take care of that all together? 🙂 Either way… it is very nice that you are doing a donation.
