OK, so earlier this week I put down a deposit on a wedding dress. And it’s just a BIT more expensive than I planned, but I can afford it, and I love it, and it’s all good.
So I’m thinking about what I will do with it after the wedding, and I was thinking about donating it. It’s gorgeous and I think it would make me really happy if it lived on. I’ve googled and there are so many options (military brides, breast cancer, etc) I’m just overwhelmed. So I’m hoping to maybe piggyback on some research others have already done 🙂
Thanks in advance.

I’m interested to hear about this too.

I found a few wedding dresses for a steal (less than $100 for 2) at a local bridal salon and donated them to Brides Against Breast Cancer. Honestly, I felt SO great about donating it! It was wonderful knowing that not only will someone now be able to afford a designer gown that may not have been able to before, but the profits will be going to a more than worthy cause that will in the end help millions more.

Church Street Bridal is an amazing charity bridal shop. The proceeds help local women who are in desperate need of assistance, and brides come in from pretty far to shop there. Your dress would be in good company: Kleinfeld’s and other stores donate their samples, and any unsold dresses.
