SO is getting a new job in April and he gets his entire annual salary in one big lump (he’s a songwriter). He was telling me that he’d done the calculations and told me that after bills were paid, he’d have x amount spare cash each month, and would be able to put £10k into savings.
I worked out the figures… there’s £3k not accounted for – the amount he told me he’d spend on my ring!
Eeeeeeeeee I’m so happy. I know he won’t propose for a good 3-6 months but still – I’m a very happy girl indeed!
Now to put Mr Bee’s plan in action and not think about it until that day comes! I don’t want to ruin the surprise!

Oh wow! That is so exciting!!! I have decided to implement the backup plan. A clue in my V-day card yesterday and some of our recent conversations makes me think he is planning it sometime between end of March (when our friends get married) and start of June (our 4 year anniversary) it’s just over 100 days between now and the anniversary and so I was thinking of making a commitment to follow the backup plan for the next 100days. More than anything to try and take my mind off it as otherwise I think I might explode with nerves, excitement and frustration!!! I have realised that I can achieve an awful lot in 100days! 😀 Fingers crossed it works xxx
