I just wanted to express my opinion re: Shhh Secrets rings.
I purchased a couple of rings from secrets about 1.5 years ago now. The rings looked flawless in the shop (they must have amazing lighting also to enhance the sparkle)….
Secrets give you a lifetime guarantee. Well, mine is not a lifetime old, and it has scratched and becomes quite misty fake looking at times. This is the ring I have kept.
The other ring was returned on several occasions and fixed on several occasions due to stones constantly falling out. In the end they did not refund the $380 (which by law they should have) for the smaller ring I purchased, even though it was faulty. Instead gave me a credit… and I am left with this credit, and don’t want to purchase another due to the major issues I have had with both rings.
It is a daily ritual to ensure the ring I still have is looking as clean as possible, but there are evidently major flaws and problems with the stones secrets sell.
I would not recommend them at all.

It sounds like this is a company like Diamond Nexus and Quorri – they sell cz jewelery at a premium but try to distract the buyer from realizing they’re buying a typical cheap cz. Unfortunately companies like this are very clever at marketing, and if you’re not familiar with this type of thing it’s easy to end up buying what you think is something else.
While CZ is fairly durable, it’s still soft enough that it can scratch and scuff with daily wear. It also dirties easily. Your issues with cloudiness are typical of cz and to be expected. I have to clean my CZs every time I wear them to keep their sparkle. As for the refund, sorry to hear about your bad experience.

Secrets actually sells lab grown diamonds, not CZ (assuming you mean Secrets in australia?)
Have you cleaned your ring at all? My ring isn’t from there, but I thought my stone was all scratched too. Then I soaked it in hot (almost boiling water) with a little dishwashing liquid for about 10 minutes and then lightly brushed it with a super soft tooth brush. My ring hadn’t sparkled so much in ages! I clean all my diamond jewellery pike that ecery couple of weeks now.
ETA: Oh wow. I didn’t realise they aren’t actually diamonds. Are they even allowed to call them lab grown diamonds if they are CZ?

I started a thread about this store!! Correct me if Im wrong, but i’m pretty sure Shh Secrets sell overpriced CZ but sell them as lab grown diamonds. The lady at one of the stores actually told me this.
I was actually considering getting one but after much research i thought a moissanite was a way better option for my fi and i.
Shh Sercrets rings are zirconium based, same elements as a Cubic Zirconia.
I went into one the stores right after a long visit at diamonds international and it looked soooo dull. Ive know secrets to sparkle more than that, but after staring at diamonds for 2 hours, you can tell they are CZ.
