@waitingalongtime:  I’ve heard of photography not being allowed in certain churches, but obviously that doesn’t pertain to that couple since it’s outside [almost looks like a goft course!].

I wonder what bug crawled up his butt!

I saw this on ABC a while back and I was like what? No way this is real, but it is. I mean, how could you NOT see the photographers/videographers before the ceremony? He could have said something then. It makes me think he did it on purpose to 1) steal attention away from the couple to show how “Godly” he is, 2) to try and humiliate the couple, and almost shame them, for daring to take the attention off God during their ceremony.

If I were the couple I would have him sign the papers right there, then ask him kindly not to come to the reception once it’s official. Heck, if it had been me PERSONALLY I’d have stopped the ceremony, and would have asked one of the three ordained ministers on my guest list to come preform the ceremony and had our GMs/Ushers politely escort this guy away from the wedding.

Oh my gosh, I would have lost my flipping mind if I were that bride. Like, dude, this is an outdoor ceremony, it’s not in a church. If you cared so much about it being about God or being a traditional, by the book religious ceremony, you wouldn’t have agreed to have it outside. Rude.

@waitingalongtime:  Apparently the photographers still managed to take the pictures, but the ABC news report I saw didn’t go in to too much detail. The couple seemed to be more in shock that it actually happened and had a good sense of humor about it, from what I remember.

I think ABC called the preacher too and he hung up on them or something.

The guy might have been walking home with some flowers protruding from places flowers ought not protrude too….

Good grief, how awkward! I mean, did the minister not notice the photographers before the ceremony began? Really, he needs to pause the whole thing to lecture them? If I was the bride, I’d be livid.
