Im not going to sit here and bash birchbox, but I want to just warn other bees that it is not worth getting.
My boxes have been late the last 3 months, and this month it hasn’t even shipped. I didn’t even get noticed of where my box was until I called them!! they didn’t even know where my box was and they had to make me a new one. Terrible business practices.
by far a really bad experience, and I wouldn’t recomend them. Save your money bees.

I’be been getting Birchbox without a problem for a year now and have even gifted subscriptions that have also gone off without a hitch. Sorry you had a bad experience but I love mine!
This month I got a full size Cynthia Rowley silver pencil eyeliner and I love it so much!!!!

I had Birchbox a while back. I was not impressed with their selections and choice of vendors.

I like to try new things, but my first box had something I was highly allergic to (not there fault) but, it didn’t make a great first impression. This month my perfume is missing! I really do love the eyeliner I got this month though. Trying to keep an open mind.

LoveBugBee: I used to be the same way, I don’t know what happened. As soon as January hit I started having issues. It wasn’t just an issue with the items in my box, but on two different occasions they sent me the wrong items in full size orders.
librarygirl85: their selection and variety are terrible!
lilmssunshinebride: it’s hard to keep an open mind about their selection any more because I’ve gotten 3 sunscreen products from supergoop as well as fas as this year already 4 different types of shampoo. Enough all ready!
I want to discover new products! Not only try new shampoos and try $30 sunscreen. No thank you!
I complained to the women on the phone about the sunscreen and shampoo issue and she told me I can change what I get in my box by retaking my survey.
Im in like no you can’t there is no option to skip sunscreen and shampoo! It’s gotten so out of hand to be honest

I just bought my husband a subscription. I hope we don’t experience the same issues.
Anyone here have any input on the men’s boxes?

I never had a problem with Birchbox shipments. They usually send you a tracking code once your package ships.
In terms of selection, I definitely think it’s hit or miss. My first month with them – the stuff was crap – seriously, I do not need gothic purple nail polish or $5 tea bags.
I did it for a few months, then I quit my subscription b/c Darling Husband and I are saving up $$$ for a move. It was fun in the beginning, but after a while, you’re stuck wtih a bunch of samples you don’t even use.

I have a subscription and just signed my Fiance up for a mens box. I also gifted a mens box for my dad for father’s day. I love it.

I think sometimes I feel that I get my box later than another month, but it eventually comes. I know the service has increased in popularity, and although that is no excuse for not getting the boxes out on time, I still love getting mine.
Yes, the products are hit and miss – but that’s what it is. I tend to get lip products in shades I would never wear, but know that it’s probably going to happen at some point, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I also get products that I love or have wanting to try, and that’s redeeming in itself.

I LOVE my Ipsy subscription. Ships the same time, every month.

I respectfully disagree with this. I have had birchbox for about two years now with no issues. In fact, the products this past month were amazing!

Ipsy’s not perfect either. In February, they sent out a lip gloss that smelled like chemicals and burned people. This month they sent out a mascara that smells like chemicals and burns people. This month also features an exploding black eyeliner and a glitter eyeliner that people say feels like sandpaper. All of these products are from no-name brands that I was told have their products made overseas with general formulations and then package them under their name.
I’m going to try Birchbox for a few months and see how I like it. I still like Ipsy, but it’s really hit or miss and I’m sick of getting crappy products of dubious quality from brands that I’ve never heard of.
